Like most of you, I spend so much time on my computer, so I try to step away from screens to recharge. There’s something about being out in nature, especially around water, that helps everything slow down and reset for me.
Earlier in March, I took a day trip to see the manatees in Crystal River. This has been on my list after so many years living in Florida!
Most of the year, manatees live in coastal waters along the Gulf, but move into Florida’s springs in winter for warmer water.
They weren’t in a hurry. They moved so steadily, not minding the snorkelers and kayakers nearby, doing what they needed to do.
It felt like a quiet reminder that simple and steady is often enough.
