If your routines have slipped lately, whether because of summer chaos, shifting client needs, or just life, <\/em>you\u2019re not alone. It happens to all of us.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In June 2025, my family faced the scariest moment of our lives when my husband, Scott, had a sudden heart attack at age 49. I\u2019m beyond grateful for the excellent care he received, and he is doing very well. We see each day with new perspective – and as bonus time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Thank you to everyone who reached out with kind words, and to my clients who understood I needed to take some time off to be with him and recalibrate life.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I\u2019m as guilty as the next person of wishing that once routines are set up nice and neatly, life will stay on track. But circumstances can change, and we must reprioritize to get back on track. What matters most is finding a back-to-basics way to reset, and giving yourself grace that only time can bring.<\/p>\n

Five Steps to Get Back on Track<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

When you\u2019ve had a tough season, it helps to pause, breathe, and rebuild your rhythm one small step at a time.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf3f<\/strong> 1. Reconnect with What Matters<\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/p>\n

Before jumping back into the hustle, pause and ask:
\u201cWhat\u2019s actually<\/em> important this week – for my business and my life?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Start with a brain dump. Write everything down that\u2019s swirling in your head. It\u2019s overwhelming at first but then the mental load eases.<\/span><\/p>\n

You no longer need to hold it all.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Choose three priorities, such as:<\/span><\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • Following up with one client about a project<\/li>\n\n
  • Making time for a walk each morning<\/li>\n\n
  • Getting back to regular meals and bedtime routines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    \ud83d\udd50<\/strong> 2. Schedule a \u201cBack on Track\u201d Power Hour<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

    One quiet hour can help clear mental and physical clutter. Use it to:<\/p>\n\n

      \n
    • Declutter one space (your inbox, workspace, etc.)<\/li>\n\n
    • Tackle one nagging task, or<\/li>\n\n
    • Prep something supportive like your calendar or a meal plan for the week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      It doesn\u2019t have to be perfect. It just needs to happen.<\/p>\n\n

      \ud83d\udcaa<\/strong> 3. Focus on the Basics: Move. Eat. Sleep.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

      You might want to fix everything at once, but an effective reset starts with your foundation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n

        \n
      • Move your body – stretch or go on a short walk<\/li>\n\n
      • Eat foods that support your energy<\/li>\n\n
      • Go to bed at a consistent time (easier said than done)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

        When you care for your body, everything else works better.<\/p>\n\n

        \ud83d\udcdd 4. Create a Realistic Plan<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

        Once you\u2019ve chosen your priorities, make a realistic plan. Break tasks into smaller steps.<\/p>\n\n

          \n
        • Assign each one a day or deadline<\/li>\n\n
        • Set calendar reminders or use a reminder app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

          The goal is to make progress feel doable, not overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n

          \ud83e\udd1d<\/strong> 5. Ask for Help, Delegate, or Simplify<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

          If you don\u2019t have the bandwidth or it doesn\u2019t align with your priorities, ask: Can I delegate this, or do I need to let it go?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

          Delegating a task to someone else can help you clear mental space and reclaim energy to use on higher priorities.<\/p>\n\n
