I live in Florida with my husband, Scott, and we have three children who constantly inspire us to adapt and grow. We’re in quite a time of transition, as our daughter now lives in Europe, our son is in college, and our youngest son in high school.

We love to travel, and with most of my family in the Cayman Islands, my heart is truly spread across the miles!

Launching Silver Thatch Solutions has been a long-time dream to have my own business that reflects who I am and how I can support other professionals. I’ve grown so much as a person just taking this leap, and look forward to helping more clients propel their businesses.

My Background

My degrees are in Computer Information Systems, an M.B.A., and Education. I worked for a high-tech conglomerate in the U.S. for years, then a home improvement store in the Cayman Islands implementing new systems and training employees how to use them.

Finding teaching moments in my job has always been one of my favorite aspects. I’ve taught at the college level and tutored students. After relocating back to U.S., I homeschooled our children – an ever-evolving process and most treasured role of my life!

Later on my work with a local tennis academy added marketing and website project management skills, and planted the seed that I could one day offer those services to other companies.

In my last corporate role as a Tech consultant, I worked remotely managing software development projects for a corporate client. After a downturn in 100% remote project manager roles within the company, my role ended, as relocating my family for short-term projects wasn’t feasible.

Closed doors are always redirections to new opportunities. This was my chance to create work that focused on projects I’m good at, to contribute directly to the successes of other small business owners, and have flexibility to work from any location.

Silver Thatch Solutions

My company name is a loving nod to my roots (pun intended) and embodies characteristics I admire.

The Silver Thatch Palm is the national tree of the Cayman Islands. Its fan-shaped leaves with silver undersides make it majestically stand out in the landscape and its strong root system enables it to weather storms. The leaves were used by Caymanians to make durable rope, roofing, and baskets that carried harvests and belongings.

Ingenuityresilience… a “get-the-job-done” attitude… are characteristics I aim to mirror in my work.

Silver Thatch Solutions is hired by small businesses to act as their virtual assistant, helping them make more money, more efficiently and with less stress.
